Week of March 7

Chapter 7:

Multiplication and Division of Fractions.
We do not expect to spend much time on this chapter as we have been multiplying fractions for some time (making equivalent fractions, simplifying...) and this is primarily an overview of what we have been doing.

Division of fractions is only one extra step before doing multiplication.

We expect to complete this chapter by the end of the week and have the test early next week.

HOMEWORK must be completed. Missed homework excused for reason ( such as being absent for illness or Dr.'s appointments) must be completed within 3 days of the original due date. Please note that absences for activities such as band, field trips, chorus, and other school related absences are not excused reasons - students are expected to find out the homework and complete it as if they attended class.

Other missed homework must be made up immediately. If you are in periods 2 and 3 you will come to my room at lunch on that day to complete for the first 20 minutes of lunch period. If you are in periods 5,6,7 or 9 you will come the next day to my room for lunch for the first 20 minutes of lunch period [even if you have completed it at home]. Failure to attend these sessions will result in a warning and can effect participation for the end of the year boat trip.
