Complete the MyMultiplicationBooklet
Due January 4, 2010
At the beginning of November it was announced to all students that we would be learning the times tables to 15. We have been doing reviews off and on for several weeks. Two weeks ago we had the first test of numbers 1 - 6, one week ago we did 7 - 15, and this week we did 1 - 15. My normal procedure after tests is for students to take home and correct the wrong answers, however the times tables tests cannot be taken home and corrected (they are timed tests). Students will be creating a booklet of word problems with multiplication, and will be given points for their work.

Dec. 17: All Periods
Homework for those who got 7 or more wrong on the times table test:
Write a note that explains what you will be doing to make sure you pass the next test:
Be Specific
- Quantify your answer. This means you can measure what you do.
Wrong Example: I will try harder.
This cannot cannot be checked, because what constitutes trying harder.
Good Example: I will study my times tables 15 minutes every other day.
This is easy to check, either you spent 15 minutes or not.
Be Truthful
Don’t tell me what you think I want to hear, but what you will do to make it better.
Sign it - it’s like a contract between you and me on what will do.
